Good news, bad news

The good news: Lorelai is fine.
At about 4:30 this morning Eric woke up and heard Lorelai gasping for breath. She sounded a little raspy before bed last night, but that was it. Eric got her calmed down and breathing a little bit by the time I woke up. I ended up taking her to the ER at the Children's Hospital. If you ever have to go the the ER, 5:30 am on Sunday is a great time to go. I think we sat in the waiting room for two minutes (that's gotta be a record). I have to echo Jessica's praise for the Children's Hospital. Everyone there was great. They said she has the croup which is not super surprising since we heard it's going around, but it is still really scary to listen to. It sounded like Lorelai was choking. The Dr. said it will help to keep her calm. We'll be spoiling her a lot over the next couple of days. So that's the good news.

The bad news is that Lorelai may have been contagious at Evan's party yesterday so I inadvertently exposed 20+ people to croup. Sorry everyone! My prayer is that no one will get it. However, I think the most I can hope for is everyone getting it at the same time. Then we will all be over it in a week! In the mean time, I will be bringing meals around to anyone who gets it so feel free to start placing your orders! Sorry again!

I am so sorry that she got it. You are so cute at thinking that you need to be cooking meals for everyone, stuff just happens and there is no way you knew that she had it! I love you and if Sadie gets it I will not be mad at you at all!!!

Poor Lorelai! That must have been so scary for you, and I hope that she gets better quickly and that neither Reid or Evan get it. Or any of the other people that came to Evan's party. I wish I could bring you dinner :<

Poor girl! We had to take Brooke to the ER around 3:30 in the morning when she ended up with RSV last March. The doctor thought she had pnumonia, but I forced them to do an RSV test because our friends kids just had RSV. Turned out I was right. The ER wanted to send us home. When our pediatrician came later that morning, he was mad that they had wanted to send her home. Glad your ER experience was better then ours! It's so scary when your kids are sick. Hope she gets feeling better soon!

Aww man! Im sorry, but Im glad she is feeling better. I feel so bad because I'm sure it came from Abby. I need to be helping with those meals...that is once Abby is well again. She either has the lingering effects of croup or picked up something new. *sigh* Im avoiding workouts with y'all until she's well because I feel guilty that we are (potentially) passing this around :( Im so sorry. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.

Oh Lore, get better fast. We are sorry we missed Evan's b-day, but the present is on the way. Love you!
