Lorelai

Lorelai has been extremely photogenic lately. I just wanted to share some of her cuteness!

Lorelai's stubborn face. I didn't think she would ever get off that little chair!

I was practicing my inside out french braid and I'm very proud of the results. Lorelai thought she was adorable too.

It's not perfect yet, but I'm going to keep practicing!

The day after.

We miss the mountains.

We have missed the mountains in Utah so much we decided we'll just have to go back for a visit! Truthfully, we miss the people more than the scenery so if you happen to live near those beautiful mountains we want to see you! The kids and I will be in town for the first two weeks in April (through the 18th). So let us know if you're available for a party, a play date, or just some good old fashioned hang time. See you soon!

St. Patrick's Day!

This year the kids had so much fun with St. Patrick's Day. I think it might be one of Evan's favorite holiday's since everyone wears his favorite color. We made the BEST shamrock suckers (thanks for the mold Grandma)! Evan learned about leprechauns at school so we decided to try and make a trap and catch one of our own. It was not very sophisticated and so Limric the Leprechaun got away, but he did leave the kids lots of gold coins! That leprechaun caused mischief all over! For example, he took all Evan's clothes out of his drawer and threw them all over the room. Then Limric put a loaf of bread in Evan's drawer and some oranges in Lorelai's jewelry box. He put jewelery in the fridge and dyed our water green! He tied knots in our socks and tied Lorelai's clothes together. Then Limric the Leprechaun turned all our pictures sideways. What a silly guy. Since he left us a four leaf clover and chocolate coins everywhere he caused mischief it was easy to tell who had caused all the trouble. I guess we'll try to catch him again next year!

The bait.

Our trap and the "leprechaun" footprints the kids put out to lead the leprechaun to the trap. Evan actually traced his own feet and then cut them out.

Reid didn't look around to see all the mischief. He was a little preoccupied by the chocolate.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Snowman!

I love snow! Especially the kind we get here. It snowed all morning so we only had sacrament meeting. I love sacrament meeting on snow days. It was so peaceful and the spirit was so strong. There is just something wonderful about sitting with a small group of latter-day saints and really knowing that we have a purpose in life on this earth.

After church, the kids (and yes I include Eric in this) had so much fun playing in the snow and I had fun scrounging up enough mittens and warm clothes for them so they didn't freeze. All in all it was awesome. Eric rolled the body and Evan rolled the head. I think we had the biggest snowman in Gardendale!

Lorelai gathered extra snow for the snowman.

Reid just walked around with a snotty nose. He is not really a hat guy and I think it bothered him that I covered his head with a hat and a hood. It was probably overkill, but I was cold!

The finished product...

After we finished Evan realized that the snowman still needed arms. I think he was happy with how it all turned out.

Sunday Morning Fun

Sunday morning is always a hectic time for us. No matter how much we prepare the night before someone is always missing a shoe or tights or a tie, etc. Yesterday we were actually doing really well which was good because we had to be at church early so the kids could be reverence children in sacrament meeting. Everything was on schedule until Eric went out to clear the snow off the van. Lorelai was watching from inside behind our screen door and Eric thought it would be so funny if he threw a snowball at her. It would have been really funny if he hadn't accidentally broken the glass in the door in the process! The pictures aren't great because of the glare, but it was too funny not to document.

Reid added a little time to the clean up process by trying to help.

I love my Husband. He got it cleaned up in record time and we still made it to church in time for the opening song!
