Play

On our way home from the beach we stopped and had lunch at the Orange Beach Children's Park. Evan called it the castle park and it was the perfect addition to our little vacation. We also went to the Outlet mall in Foley, AL. I didn't take pics, but I almost wish I had. The mall is a thing of beauty.

Where's Eric?

Eric liked the park too!

The beach

Aren't vacations awesome? We finally made it to the beach and we loved it so much. We are already saving our pennies to go again! We stayed in a condo that had a kiddie pool and lazy river so there was always something to do! Some of the pics were blurry, but here are a few that turned out of the family relaxing at the condo. Brit got some good group shots at the beach so check the Gillespie blog if you want to see how gorgeous it was. We had an awesome time and being with friends made it even better.

Bonding

Lorelai and Reid and are really bonding now. Until now Reid has just been a distraction to Lorelai, but recently Lorelai has discovered that Reid can be a good friend. They are just so cute together and I'm thankful that they have each other.

Crawling!

As of May 2, 2008 Reid is crawling. I tried to get a video clip, but Lorelai kept trying to "help". Oh, well. He has been doing the backward scoot for awhile now, but he finally graduated to the forward crawl. I've had to baby proof the house all over again!

I got these pictures of Lore in the cutest dresses ever! Aunt Raini made them and we love her forever! We really love the brown polka dot pillowcase dress. Don't let the look on Lorelai's face fool you. She loves it too.

Had a little visit.

Grandpa and Grandma Olsen came for a visit last week! We took it easy, but we still managed to have some good fun!

Here we are at the park on a sunny day. Everybody squint for the camera!

Here's a good pic Grandpa O. got of the kids.

Do you think they're related?

Grandpa got this one too. This is Evan's favorite part of soccer. They do a tunnel after every game.

All in all it was a great visit! We played every day and I loved being able to take a shower all by myself (you mom's know what I'm talking about). I love having family visit, but it makes us all miss home. We love our family and miss you all a lot!

Conversation

So Lorelai and I just had an interesting conversation. It went something like this...
Lore: Mom, what is this?
Me: It's angel hair pasta.
Lore: For your hair?
Me: No, it's pasta.
Lore: Do you put it in your hair (as she tries to put a piece in her hair)?
Me: No! It's like spaghetti. You eat it!
Lore: You eat it? (takes a bite) You eat it!

This is just an sample of one of the great little conversations I get to have everyday.
