October

Last month flew by so fast! And this month seems to be doing the same thing. Here are a few highlights from October!
Lorelai's cool hair...
and Mom's cool hair... (done by Lorelai)
Evan had his Halloween party at school. I think he had a blast and he was so careful not to rub his cheek so that his spooky ghost would stay put!
Carving jack-o-lanterns. Logan thought it was all very interesting. Evan did a great job poking his pattern into the pumpkin.
Lorelai did her first design free hand. It was a very cute ghost.
This was all Lorelai. The other design (shown up top) was done by me under her direction. She really used everything she could find for decorating.Pardon my naked children, but they all had their silly mouths in at the same time!
A perfect fall day. Perfect for falling in the mud :)

Blessing weekend

My parents came up last weekend for Evan's birthday and we decided to bless Logan while they were here. The weekend was way too short, but we had fun! Eric did a great job with the blessing and it was so nice to have my dad there. He is the only one (besides Eric) that has participated in every one of my children's blessings. Grandma spoiled the kids (myself included) as usual and we got most of an indian costume sewn. All in all it was an awesome weekend!

This was my dance costume when I was little!

Happy Birthday Evan!

My little monkey is SIX!
He is such a good big brother. He knows what to do whenever Logan cries.
Evan wanted to decorate his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake.

He did a great job!
Yum! Funfetti!
Evan loved all his presents. He was very impressed with his pocket watch from Grandpa T and he is taking VERY good care of it :)
I love my Evan so much! I love the little boy he has become. I miss him when he goes to school (why do they make school so LONG?) and I love to hear his stories when he gets home.

Quote of the day- "Jordan is a trouble maker. Mrs. Barber says he knows better, but he really doesn't know better."

Evan had to make an All About Me book for school at the beginning of the year. I asked him a bunch of questions and then tried to find pictures to go with whatever he said. My favorite question was when I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up.
I love you Evan! Happy Birthday!

Fall Festival

When I was young they did a Halloween Carnival at my school. I always thought it was AWESOME! We had a cake walk, fish pond, a haunted classroom, all the classics. I was not prepared for how huge Evan's Fall Carnival would be! They had bounce houses, slides, a ton of game booths, they had the local dance groups perform, an auction, and much more. I actually heard them auction off a football signed by Nick Saban (Alabama's football coach). It went for over $250.00. It was nuts!
The kids had so much fun and I had a blast volunteering in Evan's class booth (the Crazy Hair booth). Poor Eric was all alone with all four kids while I helped out. After I was done I overheard some women talking about how fantastic my husband was. :)
In summary, it was so great. I know the kids are already thinking about next year!
Lorelai found this vest (which was Reid's last year) and just had to wear it! It does look cute though.
After they visited the crazy hair booth... (Lore has sparkles, you just can't tell)
At the end of the night with prizes :) I think Logan had fun too!

What little boys are made of...

This is what a REAL boys pants should look like. Spray N Wash is going to make SO much money off my family. :)

Note the contents of Reid's cup. He is absolutely a believer in the two-year-old's diet!

We got a dog!

Ok, it's not as real as it sounds. Reid loves this thing though. He wouldn't let it go all day! It is definitely the kind of dog I love. He's fully house trained and very quiet!

Miracle Diet! Guaranteed Results!

I enjoyed this quite a bit. It's very accurate:

People are always on the
lookout for a new diet. The trouble with most diets is that you don't get enough to eat (the starvation diet), you don't get enough variation (the liquid diet) or you go broke (the all-meat diet). Consequently, people tend to cheat on their diets, or quit after 3 days. Well, now there's the new Toddler Miracle Diet.

Over the years you may have noticed that most two-year-olds are trim. Now the formula to their success is available to all in this new diet. You may want to consult your doctor before embarking on this diet, otherwise, you may be seeing him afterward. Good Luck !!!

DAY ONE:

Breakfast: One scrambled egg, one piece of toast with grape jelly.

Eat 2 bites of egg, using your fingers; dump the rest on the floor.

Take 1 bite of toast, then smear the jelly over your face and clothes.

Lunch: Four crayons (any color), a handful of potato chips, and a glass of milk (3 sips only, then spill the rest).

Dinner: A dry stick, two pennies and a nickel, 4 sips of flat Sprite.

Bedtime snack: Throw a piece of toast on the kitchen floor.

DAY TWO:

Breakfast: Pick up stale toast from kitchen floor and eat it.

Drink half bottle of vanilla extract or one vial of vegetable dye.

Lunch: Half tube of "Pulsating Pink" lipstick and a handful of Purina Dog Chow (any flavor). One ice cube, if desired.

Afternoon snack: Lick an all-day sucker until sticky, take outside, drop in dirt. Retrieve and continue slurping until it is clean again.

Then bring inside and drop on rug.

Dinner: A rock or an uncooked bean, which should be thrust up your left nostril. Pour Grape Kool-Aid over mashed potatoes; eat with spoon.

DAY THREE:

Breakfast: Two pancakes with plenty of syrup, eat one with fingers, rub in hair. Glass of milk; drink half, stuff other pancake in glass.

After breakfast, pick up yesterdays sucker from rug, lick off fuzz, put it on the cushion of best chair.

Lunch: Three matches, peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Spit several bites onto the floor. Pour glass of milk on table and slurp up.

Dinner: Dish of ice cream, handful of potato chips, some red punch.

Try to laugh some punch through your nose, if possible.

FINAL DAY:

Breakfast: A quarter tube of toothpaste (any flavor), bit of soap, an olive. Pour a glass of milk over bowl of cornflakes, add half a cup of sugar. Once cereal is soggy, drink milk and feed cereal to dog.

Lunch: Eat bread crumbs off kitchen floor and dining room carpet. Find that sucker and finish eating it.

Dinner: A glass of spaghetti and chocolate milk. Leave meatball on plate. Stick of mascara for dessert.
