Poison Control

Lorelai swallowed about 20-30 Teething Tablets today. I'm not exactly sure how many since I wasn't in the room at the time, all I know is how many used to be in the bottle and how many there are now. After freaking out a little I quickly called Poison Control. The tablets are supposed to be homeopathic, but you never know. The woman was very kind and assured me that Lorelai was fine. Apparently you have to eat more than 250 for it to be a problem.

Anyway, they were awesome and they have some really great information on the web. You can click on the link above. I'm thankful it wasn't serious, but it really made me look around the house in case there was any other "candy" that my kids should not be eating. You can never be too careful! I'm grateful for the non-life threatening reminder to always be on my guard.

First Day of School!

Evan had his first day of Preschool Monday and I am so proud. Why am I proud? First, I am proud of my little boy. Evan is such a great kid and I miss him while he's gone. What will I do without him when he starts going to school for a full day? Second, I am proud of myself for not crying when I dropped him off! Here is my handsome young man with his Incredible Hulk lunch box.

Side note: Evan ASKED me to do his hair curly. Only for school though. :-)

Fishing

Evan and Grandpa went fishing one morning. Grandpa asked Evan "How many fish do you want to catch?" Evan said he wanted to catch 3. So they went out, Evan caught three fish, and then he was done! He already knows how to set goals, accomplish the goal and then be satisfied with the results! I think Evan is very advanced for his age :-)

My dad has worked really hard on his raft and come up with a few really great ideas to make it better then it used to be. I'm so thankful he has been able to share his boat and time with Evan and I know Evan feels the same way. Thanks Dad!

More fun in Utah

Here are some more pics of our fun trip. We went to the Aquarium and Cabela's with Jay and Raini. It's so great to have our kids play together. They have so much fun together and we are so glad that they are all a part of our family.

Lori got to come for a few days and Reid and Xander were united again. I just know those two were meant to come to the earth together. They are definately kindred spirits.

On Monday night Nate, Maya, and Randi got to come have a sleepover. I thought we would be up half the night, but the kids actually did really well. They are all so sweet. They actually went to sleep when we told them it was time!

Seven out of eight of the grandkids. They did really good. Too bad it's blurry!

Family Reunions

Where do I start? I took so many pictures I don't know what to do with them all. I suppose I'll just do a few highlights! We started our adventure with the Olsen Family Reunion. I actually remembered most of Dave's siblings name's, but I didn't do so great with the third and fourth generations. We had so much fun and enjoyed visiting with everyone. Eric made balloon animals for a few hours and the kids had a great time doing all the activities that Patricia (Eric's cousin) planned for the kids. Lorelai got more dirty than I have ever seen her, which is awesome.

Evan had more fun playing in the sawdust then he did looking for the money!Eric had a long line of "patient" children waiting to get a balloon so they could run off and pop it!

Here are some of Eric's cute cousin's with their creations!
Eric went home the following Monday and the second weekend the kids and I went with my parents up to the Andersen Family Reunion. It's been so long! I have cousins that I don't even recognize anymore. Everyone is getting so old! We had a great time talking, eating, playing games, eating, talking, and eating some more! We slept in a cabin and the kids actually slept really well! Even Alexander slept most of the night which is saying something! Coming back for the reunions makes me realize how much I love and adore our families. We are so lucky to have such great people in our lives.

These are a few of the cousins doing relay races.
Sorry Xander, I didn't mean to rat you out to your mom, but you are just so cute!Randi (my 3 year old niece) took this picture of Lorelai. I didn't edit it at all. Very impressive!

I spy with my little eye...

Toddling Reid

Some things just can't wait! We are in Utah on a little spur of the moment vacation! We are having an awesome time and I had planned to wait until we got home to do any posts, but I just couldn't wait! We took these video's over about an hours time. See how my baby progressed in such a short time! (Secretly, I think he's been able to do it the whole time. He was just holding out on me!)
